Call for Papers
2006 CCA Student Paper Competition
CCA annual student paper competition is open to student members who have an interest in communication research concerning such Chinese communities as mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as well as other Chinese-language speaking communities around the world.
The contest is open to students with an active CCA membership only. If non-member or inactive CCA members are interested in participating in the contest, they need to register or renew their CCA memberships first. The competition is open for papers (either in English or in Chinese) presented at refereed conferences or articles published by refereed journals in 2006. The paper/article must deal with an aspect of Chinese communication processes and structure. For co-authored papers, the first author must a CCA student member, and no faculty member should be listed as a co-author.
Each submission will be blind-reviewed by two or three judges in the relevant field. Up to three awards, depending on the quality of the submitted papers, will be given to the winning papers. Along with an award certificate, the First Place paper will receive a $200 cash prize and one or two Second Place papers will receive a $100 cash prize each.
The deadline for submission is February 15 2007.
