Dr Dianlin Huang is associate professor at Communication University of China (CUC）. He received two PhDs in communications studies from Communication University of China and Macquarie University in Australia under a co-tutelle program agreement from 2007 to 2012. He has been teaching several courses for both Chinese and international students at CUC and playing a leading role in the two-year dual-degree MA program in global communication jointly run by CUC and SFU since 2012. His academic research areas include media culture, media and underprivileged groups in the Chinese context, critical communication studies, with a particular interest in bridging the gap between different critical approaches in communication and media studies. His main publications include over 20 journal articles and book chapters, one monographic book based on his PhD thesis, one edited book, and several translated books including those by Stuart Hall and Vincent Mosco.

黄典林，获中国传媒大学和澳大利亚麦考瑞大学双博士学位，现为中国传媒大学传播研究院副教授，研究领域为传媒文化研究、传播学基础理论、批判传播学、国际传播。
