Research Interests

I have long been dedicated to instruction and hands-on training in both pre-production and post-production film and television editing. My research primarily focuses on non-linear editing, film and television post-production, practical training in all stages of filmmaking, and the integration of AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) into teaching and practice. I was honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) and am also a certified instructor for both Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer.

Courses Taught

"Non-linear Editing": A required course for undergraduate Broadcasting and Television majors in this school, offered since 2007.

"Film and Television Editing": A required course for undergraduate Broadcasting and Television majors in this school, offered since 2017.

"Pre-production of Film and Television ": A specialized elective open to all master's students and undergraduates at the university, offered since 2021.

"Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content Practice (AIGC)": A specialized elective open to all undergraduates at the university, offered since 2025.

Academic Publications

Published multiple monographs and translations, including The Secrets of Editing, Film and Television Editing(Digital Textbook), Film and Television Editing(Second Edition), Film and Television Editing, The Research on Internet Rumors, IPTV Technology and Management, Apple Training Series: Final Cut Pro 7, Website Planning and Design, among others, along with numerous papers in core academic journals.

Hosted or participated in multiple research projects, such as those under the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and sub-projects of major research initiatives in philosophy and social sciences under the Ministry of Education. Completed project reports or authored works including Research on Management Mechanisms of Online Information Dissemination, Strategic Development Study of the Ministry of Commerce Website of the People's Republic of China, Case Studies on Loss and Leakage of National Science and Technology Secrets Post-WTO Accession, and Research on Digital Communication Technologies and Media Industry Development.
