Dr. Shu He is a Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Peking University (PKU), and serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Culture and Communication, PKU. She is a Co-Founder and Sponsor of both the Peking University China-US Media Forum and the Peking University China-International Media Forum.
Dr. He has extensive international academic experience as a visiting scholar at the following institutions:

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a double major Bachelor of Laws in Cross-Cultural Studies from the School of International Studies, PKU. She earned her PhD from the School of International Studies, PKU, with her doctoral research focusing on lobbying in higher education. Dr. He is an active judge and commentator for domestic and international public speaking, debating, and speech competitions. She has also undertaken roles as a visiting scholar, lecturer, recruiter, and program coordinator at numerous world-renowned universities.
In 2013, as a Co-Founder and Co-Sponsor, Dr. He launched the 1st Peking University China- US Media Forum in collaboration with scholars from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) and journalists from English-language media outlets in China and the United States. A distinctive feature of this forum is that PKU and UHM take turns hosting it annually, facilitating discussions on current issues in media coverage and the application of new technologies in media among academics, journalists, and community leaders.
In 2019, as a Co-Founder and Co-Sponsor of the Peking University International Media Forum, Professor He aimed to provide a platform for international communication scholars and journalists, expanding discussions from media-related current affairs to hot topics in political science, economics, and international relations. The forum's objective is to foster robust cooperation and friendship with professionals in English-language media across China and the globe.
Dedicated to cross-cultural research and international communication, Professor He possesses rich practical experience in bilingual (Chinese-English) journalism. As the first consultant appointed by the Office of Global Communication at Peking University, she has made significant contributions to PKU's international communication efforts.
